Uasin Gishu County has signed an MoU with the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) to develop conference tourism through Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).
Governor Jonathan Bii highlighted the region’s potential as a sports tourism hub, stating that the partnership would create economic growth and attract national and international events.
KICC CEO James Mwaura emphasized the deal’s role in boosting job creation, local businesses, and Uasin Gishu’s global visibility.
The county is also developing a museum to enhance its tourism revenue and visitor appeal.
